I recently took pictures for a fellow animal lover, Tamara Pitman, who owns and operates, Dachshund Rescue of Los Angeles. Tamara is one of those no sleeping, super dedicated, heart of gold, "dog ladies". When Tamara asked if I could take some pictures of some the wieners she rescued, I was honored!
The thing is a lot of people don't know that there are usually specific rescues out there for specific breeds. You want a French Bulldog or a Pomeranian? Rescue one!Sure, they may not be a puppy or come from a pedigree line ( which I think is bullshit and a lot of people that like these type of dogs are caught up in bullshit designer shit and want to look cool, not all, but some humans) but instead they are a pet that was once surrendered by their past owners and now are in need of another loving home. Of course some of these rescues, may be elderly or sometimes have medical problems, or even agression towards other pets or humans., but at the end of the day you are saving a pets life and it may be one of the most rewarding things you can ever do in your human life. So, if you really love wiener dogs like I do, and maybe thinking about getting one, please rescue or adopt from a shelter - they need us!!!
